Attractions: Pala-U waterfall

Pala-U is a 15-level waterfall along a creek stretching out to the Burmese border. It's about 60 km west of Hua Hin. It's in the south end of Kaeng Krachan national park (Thailand's biggest national park), so if you're not a Thai citizen you have to pay an entrance of 200 Bath.

There is also an elephant camp, at the left side of the park entrance. This is a better deal than the ones in Hua Hin, since the jungle is more genuine. You don't have to pay the park entrance fee to do this ride.

Most visitors are turning back after the third level. I recommend you to keep on going as far as your physics allow you to.

Watch out for; slippery stones, muddy track during rain, mosquitoes, leeches. I was also told there are tigers and black panthers in the area. I don't know if that's true.

To get there; rent a car or a motorbike, get a taxi or let the hotel staff arrange the trips. The touts along the Hua Hin streets are overpriced. Hua Hin Tour operators offer a great private tour, a good deal if you don't want to arrange the trip by yourself.

Bring water for this trip, you'll need it. And, keep the park clean!
Below, there are 4 tourist attractions around Pa La Au Waterfall.

1). Pa La Au Waterfall
This 15-tier waterfall flows all year round. Each tier is unique in beauty. Especially, at 15th tier, it was explored by just a few people, but everybody said the same thing “ never been, never know what the utmost beauty is like”.

2). Chonlanark Waterfall
Even though it is a 3-tier waterfall, its cliff stands the tallest in Kaeng Krachan National Park. The height is about 150 to 200 meters. Located in proximity to Pa La Au Waterfall, it usually takes about 6 hour walking and requires one night stay over. Sound is hard, isn’t it?

3). Nature Route
800 meters long of the nature route starts at a parking lot and ends at the 1st tier of Pa La Au Waterfall. With signs along the route and walking on a hanging bridge, it offers the most memorable nature learning.

4). Houy Pa Lao Reservoir
Here is one of the best bird watching points in Kaeng Krachan National Park.

Unfortunately, there is no guesthouse and restaurant offered around Pa La Au Waterfall. Therefore, tents and easy to cook or semi cooked food must be brought if wanting to stay over. Prior to trek into the forest, you are recommended to obtain some important information at the station of Houy Pa Lao Protection Center. Speed is limited and caution is in need, because elephants often cross the route. It opens for visitor from 8 am. to 5 pm.

The type of weather in Thailand is tropical. The temperature and humidity are both High most of the year but majority of the people find it agreeable. The average hotness is about 86 degrees Fahrenheit, or 30 degrees Celsius.

Dry Season (December – February) This is considered the dry season in Hua Hin, Pattaya and most of Thailand. Not a great deal of rain and there usually is a refreshing wind/breeze from the mountains or the beach. This is the busiest time of the year and most popular for tourist season. The Dry Season is the busiest time of year and normally attracts many people of all ages. Great time of the year to put on a back pack and travel the country. From the north where it tends to get a bit cooler in the mountains all the way to the islands where umbrellas and beaches wait.

Weather Forecast | Weather Maps | Weather Radar | Hurricane Center

Hot Season (March – August) The weather conditions are still dry at this time and relatively hot. This time of the year you can start to get occasional showers which are usually welcomed by the people as well as the tropical gardens The Hot Season is also very busy but the temperature is more agreeable to people retired or heading into retirement. You get some refreshing morning showers and the odd evening cool down. Rain Season (September – November) It’s still hot and as a rule there are many sunny days. This time of the year is recognized on the islands as the monsoon season but we still can enjoy the golf courses in Sunny Hua Hin. You might catch yourself waiting out the rain for an hour or so but once it breaks you can tee off. The Rain Season is a great time of the year if you don’t mind the heat and humidity. The big advantage is that you can move more freely and enjoy the local people a little more personably. Since we are centrally located we do not have dramatic changes in weather. Through out the year in comparison to the previous years of weather the days are usually predictable

Weather table

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0Hua Hin, Changwat Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand12.5910636 99.94091960000002912.4670896 99.779558100000031 12.7150376 100.10228110000003tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1426639287731236078.post-60866408433334350062013-05-26T19:38:00.000+01:002014-11-08T12:53:46.834+00:00How to go there from Bangkok

Getting to Hua Hin from Bangkok is easy.

All options for transport are available in this route – bus, van, car and train. One of our favorite places to visit in Thailand is Hua Hin now. Only around 3 hours from Bangkok, Hua Hin is an extremely popular beach resort for Thais and tourists alike.

2. Train From Bangkok to Hua Hin
A wonderful way to get from Bangkok to Hua Hin is by train. Their trains are well-known to be clean and fun to travel in, although this is not always the fastest or most efficient form of transportation. The train from Bangkok to Hua Hin travels several times a day.
The train trip could take up to 4 to 5 hours, which is longer than driving or taking the bus/ van.
If you’re looking for a cheaper mode of transportation, taking the train to Hua Hin is highly recommended as it’s really cheap (price range from 44 baht to 200 baht; RM4.4 – RM19.90) depending on if you go first, second or third class, and the scenery along the way is lovely. However, this is more time consuming.

3. Bus From Bangkok to Hua Hin
An efficient and cheap way to get from Bangkok to Hua Hin (around 155 baht each way’ RM15.4)
Journey is about 3 hours from Bangkok to Hua Hin and the bus arrives right in the middle of Hua Hin town.
However, you would need to travel to the Southern bus station in Bangkok, which is on Borommarat Chonnani Road close to Pinklao Bridge. Best way to get there is to take a taxi, but there were some reviews we’ve read saying most taxi drivers didn’t know where they were going as they do not really understand what tourists are saying and they have to write the name of the Southern Bus Station, in Thai.

This circuit is the perfect place for a family to come and enjoy an exciting hour or so racing".

http://www.gokarthuahin.comUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0Hua Hin, Changwat Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand12.5910636 99.94091960000002912.4670896 99.779558100000031 12.7150376 100.10228110000003tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1426639287731236078.post-79730739374941516892013-05-26T18:37:00.000+01:002014-09-26T13:33:45.340+01:00Prices of our condo in Palm pavilion:
